\n(Term: 3 yrs) <\/td>Review applications for registration, renewal, and reinstatement, conduct annual quality assurance audits, and contribute to the development of resources to support registrants in maintaining their competence.<\/td> 2-hour meetings plus preparation for each Internationally Educated Health Professional (IEHP) application (typically 2-3 applications\/year); 1-2 meetings per year to verify continuing competence activities. <\/td> Orientation meeting with the Registrar and\/or Deputy Registrar; collaborative team discussions on applications. <\/td> Travel expenses covered<\/td> Experience in a specific area of practice, region, or other relevant expertise to assist the committee. <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n\t Practice Advisory

\n(Term: 3 yrs) <\/td>To receive and review complaints, conduct preliminary investigations, request and obtain such information, documents, evidence and things as they consider necessary for the purpose of the committee, and to either dismiss a complaint refer the complaint to the Discipline Committee for further investigation. <\/td> Varies depending on complaint complexity (2-20 hours). Typically, 4-5 hours per complaint.<\/td> Instructions and support from legal counsel throughout the complaint review process.<\/td> Travel expenses covered<\/td> Minimum of 5 years of field experience. \n(Term: 3 years) <\/td>To determine the guilt or innocence of a member against whom a complaint was received by holding a hearing as outlined in the Act Respecting Health Professionals.<\/td> As needed. Typically involves a full-day orientation with a lawyer prior to a hearing, reviewing documents\/evidence, meeting with the committee to deliberate, and participating in hearings (1-2 days).<\/td> Full-day orientation with a lawyer; upcoming Procedures Manual for ongoing guidance during disciplinary hearings.<\/td> Travel, lodging, and meals covered.
